Boat trip from Lombok to Flores

The second alternative is the boat trip from Lombok to Flores. You will spend 4 days on the boat and cover more than 400 km. During the trip you will be shown waterfalls and various beaches, as well as snorkeling spots (including at Manta Point) and a trip to Komodo and the neighboring island of Rica are part of the program.

The itinerary of the tour is usually similar to the following: On the first day you will make your bed, which is next to many other mattresses, and get to know the other people on the boat, while on the boat you will get a wonderful view of the volcano Gurung Rinjani. On the second day you will visit a waterfall near Sumbawa, Satonda. After several kilometres the third day starts at Pink Beach, where you will visit Manta Point nearby. You will also visit the Komodo National Park, where you will spend the night in a small bay of the park. On the last and fourth day the neighbouring island Rinca will be visited before finally mooring in Labuan Baja at the harbour.

Costs: approx. 1,5 Mio Rupiah / 95 USD (depending on your carrier)

Tip 1: MyFloresTour recommend you to inform yourself how big the boat is and exactly how it is equipped. Whether it is intended to be on the water for several days, whether radios are available and so on and so forth. The bigger the boat, the less swell you get and the longer you can close your eyes at night.

Tip 2: We advise you not to take on the four-day boat tour during the rainy season. The waves can be especially strong here, which can cloud the whole experience. It can even happen that certain boat trips are cancelled if it gets too stormy in the rainy season.

 Bus & Ferry to Flores

This is the cheapest but also the longest of the possibilities. Here you can reach Flores from Lombok, where you can get a ticket for your trip at the bus station.

A bus will take you to the port of Lombok, from where you take the ferry to Sumbawa. Once there, after a bus ride through Sumbawa you will reach the next port, where your ferry to Flores is waiting for you.

Costs: approx. 500.000 Rupiah / 35 USD
